Landscaping...will it Make or Break a Sale?

It certainly can! Or, it could diminish the price you want or could get for your home. Ugly curb appeals are slow to sell.

If you are thinking of selling in the next year or two, then now is the time to landscape so the plants can become established. There is nothing more captivating than a beautifully landscaped home.

Two homes were up for sale on my street. Both completely remolded, and up for sale about the same time. One made an effort to invest an adequate amount of money into pretty new plants, and trees. The other went cheap and scantly planted greenery. The fully landscaped home sold quickly, and the barely landscaped home sat for nearly six months. Ouch! Money lost.

People are visual, first impressions are not forgotten. Makes a buyer wonder what else has been sacrificed in this house.

Landscaping applies to any neighborhood. Spruce up your landscape, it becomes contagious to other neighbors. Reach out and help another, share plants and cuttings. It does increase home value.

Looking to sell or buy, I am a Realtor and Interior Designer, and I would love to assist you.
